PRESENTER'S BRIEF BIO

Catherine Hyland Moon

Catherine Hyland Moon is a Professor in the Art Therapy Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, author of Studio Art Therapy: Cultivating the Artist Identity in the Art Therapist, and editor of Materials and Media in Art Therapy: Critical Understandings of Diverse Artistic Vocabularies. Her current practice is focused on cultivating inclusivity and stigma reduction through community based art studios in Chicago, and collaboratively developing therapeutic art programs for children in East Africa.
