About

Cassie is a certified art therapist from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute in Canada. As a ceramic artist and educator, Cassie has gained a decade of teaching experience in art education whilst working across school communities with different cultural backgrounds and educational needs. In 2015, she founded Twiga Pottery studio with an aim to develop creativity and resilience among young children and adolescents through a range of community art projects and ceramic workshops. Her expertise with clay as a creative and therapeutic medium has continuously supported children in their physical, social, cognitive and emotional development with an integrated sensory-based art therapy approach.

Cassie is currently working as an in-school art therapist, supporting children and teens in areas including neurodiversity, anxiety and emotional regulation, learning difficulties, identity issues, social relationships and grief and loss. In her private practice, Cassie has been actively promoting the importance of wellbeing and art-based psychoeducation in the workplace environment and local village communities through a series of collective art workshops.
