Jade Chung is an art therapist in training, currently undertaking two separate programs simultaneously at the University of Hong Kong and the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. Her previous career was in commercial art sales, with several years of experience working across private art galleries in Hong Kong and the U.S.
Over the years, she has also worked with a local educational consultancy and facilitated a number of art-based initiatives with schools and organizations for disadvantaged youth. These projects spanned across Cambodia, upstate New York, and Hong Kong, and during this time, she noticed a real universal need for creative, therapeutic spaces.
Jade is particularly interested in policy structure and accessible education, and carries a passion for encouraging dialogue about mental health. She believes that access to psychotherapy options should be diverse, creative, and affordable. Jade aspires to act as an advocate for this vision through her studies and practice in visual art therapy and expressive arts therapy.
